This year for Christmas I decided to give to someone who needed help. I happenned to give a Christmas to a family last year. The father of the family is a refugee from Africa and I came across him through the church. He watched his two sons and wife get shot in front of him while he was torchured. He managed to escape and make it to the US where he has started a new life and family. He has two beautiful daughters and a loving wife. His oldest daughter is in the process of trrying to get accepted intno BYU! His other daughter is 15 and still in jr. high. Unfortunately, through the torture that he endured, he has severe medical dissabilities and is unable to work.
Anyways, he got in touch with me this year to see if there is anything that I could contribute to help him and his family, so of course I complied. Katie and I put together some money and dropped it off with him last night, and thanks to Katie we were able to give him a generous amount, and of course he was extremely grateful. I know that he is trying to support relatives he has back in Africa, so we made sure to think of them in the donation. I am so grateful to have the giving family I do, so that I can carry this on as tradition in the Seron household.
