Costa Rica was AMAZING!!! We all have to go.......It is really tropical, and a constant 80 degrees. Katie, Brett and Ali all went for about 11 days, I couldn't take that much time off of work so I was there for the last 5 days of the trip. In those five days we went on a zip line tour through the jungle which was really fun, you basically clip to a zip line really high up and just hold on for the ride as you scale down a mountain side.
We also took surfing lessons and surfed on our own for the last day. Surfing was really hard and works allot of muscles i didn't even know existed but it was a rush. I swallowed allot of seawater though so after a few of those i wasn't feeling at the height of my health if you know what I mean.
The seafood down there is worth the trip alone, I think that was the freshest fish I have ever eaten in my life. The favorite was probably the fish tacos, man i am having withdrawals from those things.
The second night I was there we ate in a tree house restaurant, that only seats about 15 or so and you have to reserve ahead of time for them to buy all the ingredients that day. This restaurant is waaay up high in a tree that overlooks the entire jungle and ocean. It was gorgeous! Our friend Brett had his birthday a about a week ago so we had a second birthday dinner for him. It's hard to tell from the pics but it was very high up. The Chef was a local lady who basically cooked her real authentic home style cookin, while socializing and during dinner, the owner took pictures and at the end of dinner we had a little mini slide show of our whole night. A friend to the Edmond's family and now all of ours who lives down there has the CD of the pictures for the whole night so when we get that i will put up some more pics. So that was pretty much our trip, any additional time we had was spent sleeping laying around at the pool or getting ready to throw up from over stuffing ourselves with the amazing food they have down there.
